The library has immediate needs and ideas for ways to enrich the community today that current public funding doesn’t cover.
Your gift FOR TODAY will be used immediately for the greatest current need at the library. Gifts may be given to celebrate, honor, or remember.
FOR TOMORROW
The Friends of Menomonie Public Library invest time and money so the library can continue to do good work in this place we all call home.
Your gift FOR TOMORROW will be directly gifted back to the library to sponsor events and support the library in a variety of ways.

The Menomonie Public Library Foundation has been dedicated to enhancing the Library and Menomonie for over 30 years.

Denise & Bob Sedlalk Menomonie Public Library Fund
The Denise & Bob Sedlak Menomonie Public Library Fund, a fund of the Community Foundation of Dunn County, gives the library a recurring gift and a permanent legacy.
John M. Houle Memorial Fund
The John M. Houle Memorial fund, a fund of the Community Foundation of Dunn County, offered a grant of $2266 to enhance the mission of the Menomonie Public Library.
Music Over Menomin 2024
The Friends of the Library gifted the library with $5,000 to sponsor Music Over Menomin in 2024! The funds will be used to pay the performers for the 10 night music series that we hold on our lawn every Thursday throughout the summer months. What a gift to the community!
Tami & Lyn Borcherding
Since April 2023, Tami has made over 1,000 book bags (& lots of bookmarks too!) that are given to people that get new library cards. She and her husband Lyn have paid for the majority of the supplies too. What wonderful gifts these have been for all ages!

Kurt Brown
Kurt Brown, president of the Menomonie Public Library Foundation, gave a donation to be used for library staff appreciation. Our staff is feeling extra special and enjoying the pizza lunches! Thank you!
Menomonie Sunrise Rotary
$2,000 was given to purchase Wonderbooks and Vox books for the library’s children’s collection. These are print books with the audio book permanently attached. They are a wildly popular collection and we are grateful to now be able to offer more to our young readers!
Thrivent & Lynette Smith
Thank you to Lynette Smith, who used her Thrivent action dollars to gift the library $250 to buy material for library book bags.

150 Years of Library Service in Dunn County Gift
The Foundation gave the library $5,000 to celebrate the 150 Years of Library Service in Dunn County during 2024. The money is being used to spread the news of the importance of libraries. Check out all the activities that are happening to celebrate this amazing milestone!
