Our busy summer is coming to close.  Summer storytimes have ended and Summer Reading has wrapped up although we are still accepting children and teen reading logs until August 28.  But wait!  We aren’t done yet.  Music Over Menomin was set to end this week on August 8 at 7:00 p.m. with a performance by the phenomenal  Yata, Sinz and Orfield group but due to an earlier cancellation because of weather, North of Dixie will be performing on August 15 at 7:00 p.m.

We continue our recognition of the Apollo 11 moon landing 50th anniversary with a special program on Wednesday, August 7 at 7:00 p.m.  Discover the story of Apollo 11 and how they made the first landing on the moon 50 years ago.  John Heasley of Driftless Stargazing will present.  John volunteers as a Solar System Ambassador Master Teacher with NASA.

Our creative Children’s Department is conducting a series of four weekly programs on Thursdays from 2:00-3:30 p.m. for kids in grades K-5 called August Art.  Each week we will explore a different artistic medium.

  • August 8 is Playdough and Clay
  • August 15 is Recycle, Reuse and Repurpose
  • August 22 is Collage
  • August 29 is Paint

Be sure to join us to close out a marvelous summer.
