How
to Get a Library Card
Any resident of
Wisconsin is eligible for a card. Adults need to present
a valid driver's license,
or some other valid form of picture ID, along with ID that
contains their current address. They must complete a
MORE application card and agree to comply with the policies
of the MORE libraries. Applicants under 18 years
of age must have a parent or guardian give their written consent
on the application form before a new card can be issued. The
parent or guardian must sign the card in the presence of the
library staff. Cards are issued the same day. Only the
person to whom the card is issued may use that card.
All library cards must be renewed annually
so that the staff may verify the current address. In order
to renew a library card, patrons must produce identification
and must clear all outstanding fines and bills. Replacement
cards are available for $2.00.
