Prerequisite Introduction to Design for Digital Fabrication

The Introduction to FAB LAB Equipment class will introduce participants to FAB LAB equipment on the UW-Stout campus.  This is a great opportunity for hands-on access to a fantastic maker space.  Create, collaborate and discover what is available in the Discovery Center FAB LAB.  Machines included are the Epilog Laser Engraver, Roland Vinyl Cutter,  ShopBot CNC Router, uPrint 3D Printer, Roland Mini-Mill and theTorchmate 4×4 Plasma Table.  Participants must have digital design experience or have taken the Introduction to Design for Digital Fabrication class.   This opportunity is free and open to the public.  Sponsored and supported by the Menomonie Public Library.  For more information call 715-232-2793.

Last year, Laurence was selected as the Shirley K. Stewart Outstanding Student of the Year in Technology Education and maintains a 3.76 GPA. He is certified to teach Project Lead the Way’s Introduction to Engineering and Design, Design and Modeling, and Applied Robotics courses.  Laurence is a retired First Sergeant from the United States Army where he served 23 years as a Military Intelligence Professional as a Russian and Serbian and Croatian Linguist.
