As reported in the Dunn County News, the City of Menomonie’s proposed 2013 budget includes a $20,000 cut to the library to help offset the city’s budget shortfall. The library is absorbing this 5% cut by reorganizing staff to control labor costs and freezing expenditures for books and media. A slight increase in funding from Dunn County also helped to balance the cut.
